Neue Veröffentlichung im Journal „Business Research“

Einhörner, also private Start-ups mit einer Bewertung von mehr als einer Milliarde US-Dollar, sind seit etwa zehn Jahren ein bedeutendes Phänomen der Start-up Branche. Professorin Carolin Bock und der Doktorand Christian Hackober haben nun ihre Studie „Unicorns – what drives multibillion-dollar valuations?“ im Journal „Business Research“ veröffentlicht, in der sie den Treibern auf die Spur gehen, die Start-ups zu Einhörnern werden lassen. Sie analysieren hierbei verschiedene Treiber in den jeweiligen Start-up Ökosystemen unterschiedlicher Regionen sowie Investoren-bezogene Kriterien. Unicorns, privately held startups with a valuation of more than one billion USD, are an important phenomenon in the startup context since about ten years. Christian Hackober and Prof. Dr. Carolin Bock now published their study „Unicorns – what drives multibillion-dollar valuations?“ in the Journal „Business Research“. In the study, they analyze factors that determine that regular startups turn to unicorns. They concentrate on factors of the respective startup ecosystems in different regions as well as investor-related factors.
