The role of startup investors in nurturing startup firms’ performance has been subject to a number of studies in the finance and entrepreneurship literature. The goal of this thesis is to provide a systematic review of the relevant literature and to conduct own empirical analyses in this field using a statistics software (STATA). The exact scope of the analyses will be defined together with the supervisor and also account for your prior knowledge and the data availability. However, prior knowledge of econometrics, statistical programming, entrepreneurship and corporate finance concepts are advantageous when choosing this topic.
